Douglas regularly undertakes pro-bono work under the Bar Free Legal Service Scheme by the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Clinical Legal Education Programme by HKU. He is most ready to offer pro-bono trial and appeal advocacy especially for the under-privileged and mental health patients.

Douglas fights every case with utmost professionalism. He defended many high profile cases involving many celebrities but Doug prefers not to label any single case as notable to avoid comparison. Jon obtained his first degree in Business Administration in the United States and his second degree in Law in Hong Kong. He commenced full practice in 2002.

Jon sat as deputy magistrate in the law courts of Hong Kong from 2012 to 2013. He is also a contributing editor of Archbold Hong Kong since 2010. He is an independent non-executive director of two listed companies in Hong Kong and also serves as legal advisor to the Hong Kong Police Disciplinary Board.

Jon enjoys both civil and criminal matters with a predominant interest in the latter. He has extensive experience in handling complex commercial cases on fraud, corruption, money laundering as well as offences and regulations concerning the Securities and Futures Commission. Has has also defended numerous high profile cases, some of which lasted for over 100 days in court.

In recent years, Jon has advised on numerous corporate compliance issues to over 40 corporations that were successfully listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Leona is called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2010 and has since been developing a broad spectrum of practice in criminal and civil matters, with focus on the former.

Having extensive experience in handling all areas of criminal cases both at trial and appellate levels, Leona is frequently briefed for cases of sexual offences, ICAC and CCB investigated crimes, money laundering, fraud and forgery. She also represents clients in disciplinary hearings by medical council and other regulatory tribunals.

Leona is regularly instructed by Department of Justice to prosecute in District Courts and selected cases in Magistrates’ courts as special fiat.

Since 2018, Leona has been appointed as deputy magistrate on a number of occasions.

Leona accepts instructions to represent clients under SFC investigation to answer written enquiries and attend investigation interview. She has been appointed as independent investigation committee in appraising possible misconduct and providing advice for companies pending to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In recent years, Leona handles civil cases involving complex factual matrix and criminal elements whereas her emphasis on analysing evidence and cross examination of witnesses is highly appreciated by the clients.

Lisa joined Chambers in 2020 after completion of pupillage with Mr. M. K. Wong S.C., Mr. Tim Wong, Mr. Valentine Yim, Mr. Tony Ko, Mr. Peter Duncan S.C., and Ms. Catherine Wong.

Lisa is developing a broad criminal and civil practice and has experience in matters spanning a wide spectrum of practice areas. She has appeared both in her own right and as a led junior in the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the District Court and the Magistrates’ Courts. Besides, she has experience in handling disciplinary matters of professional bodies. She also acted as counsel-on-fiat for the prosecution in the Magistrates’ Courts and is currently on the Legal Aid Panel for criminal matters.

Lisa has experience in a wide range of criminal cases, both at trial and appellate level, such as misconduct in public office, white-collar crimes including money laundering and corruption, fraud, sexual offences, assault and wounding offences, criminal damage, general and serious road traffic offences (including dangerous driving causing death), drug-related offences and immigration offences. She also has experience in doing High Court bail applications. Further, she is regularly instructed to attend legal visits at police stations, ICAC, Immigration Department and Labour Department.

In her first year of practice, Lisa has been led by Mr. M. K. Wong S.C. (and with Mr. Ronny Leung) to act for a defendant in an 85-day trial in the District Court regarding the offence of misconduct in public office committed by three public eye doctors in Caritas Medical Centre (HKSAR v Yau Shing Kin & Others [2020] HKDC 1177). The Defendant was acquitted of all three charges.

Subsequently in HKSAR v Eugene Yeoh Kim Loong and Another [2021] HKDC 1560; [2022] 5 HKLRD 1082, Lisa represented the 1st Defendant (being led by Mr. M. K. Wong S.C. and with Ms. Sylvia Tung), then Joint Head of the IPO Vetting team of HKEx, who was charged with misconduct in public office and bribery (concerning $9.15 million) in a District Court trial. The Defendant was acquitted of all charges.

Alongside her criminal practice, Lisa has maintained a general civil practice in contract, trusts, land (including tenancy matters and adverse possession), contentious probate, and matrimonial cases. She is regularly instructed to appear in various interlocutory applications in her own right, including interlocutory injunctions and Mareva injunctions.

Lisa accepts instructions for both advocacy and advisory work in all areas of practice.

Fiona joined Chambers upon her completion of pupillage with Mr. Joseph Lee, Mr. Kenny Lin, Ms. Catherine Wong and Mr. Dick Lee. She also served as a marshal with Mr. Derek Chan S.C..

Fiona is developing a broad civil and criminal practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.

On the criminal side, she has conducted cases involving general crimes, traffic offences, customs offences and public order offences. On the civil side, the scope of her profession covers personal injury and matrimonial matters. She has appeared at various levels of courts as a sole advocate and a led junior. She has been instructed to attend legal visits at police stations. She has also provided advice on anti-bribery and confidentiality matters to companies.

Fiona was a Court Interpreter with the Judiciary prior to joining the bar. During her tenure, she handled a wide range of criminal cases in relation to general crimes, white collar crimes, traffic offences, sexual offences, drug offences, customs offences and immigration offences.
