Ruby joined our Chambers after completing her pupillage with Mr Derek Chan S.C., Ms Olivia Tsang, Mr Victor Gidwani, Mr Kenny Lin and Mr Lincoln Cheung.

She is developing a broad criminal and civil practice with a keen interest in fraud, money laundering and commercial cases. She is instructed in all areas of Chambers’ work.

In her criminal practice, she has experience in defending clients in trials and magistracy appeals involving money laundering, sexual offences, conspiracy to obtain property by deception, the offence of using a false instrument, traffic offences and summon offences.

In her civil practice, she has handled cases involving general contracts, guarantees, motor vehicle insurance, probate, personal injury, construction disputes and death inquest. She has also opposed interim-interim injunction applications, made interlocutory applications and often advised on personal injuries matters.

Ruby has appeared before the Magistrates’ Courts, District Court and Court of the First Instance in her own right and as junior counsel.

Ruby is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
